GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Recently, the technology of liposome formulation has given much attention to finding a way to prepare liposomes with a large number of bilayers. These liposomes can encapsulate large amounts of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic ingredients simultaneously. Our company has succeeded in preparing a new series of liposomes with very high entrapment efficiency.

Fast Multi Lipo Tech (FMLT)

BioSpectrum uses multilamellar vesicles, MultiSpheres, to maximize the payload per liposome and leverage its spontaneous active ingredients association. Since MultiSphere is loading hydrophobic ingredients into the membrane (rather than into the aquous fluid contained inside the liposome spheres), the multiple layers of membranes in the MultiSphere increase the capacity of each liposome to carry the ingredients. For example, FMLT Multiliposome (about 500nm-1500nm) compared to general liposome(about 100nm) have a 1000-fold larger volume and can encapsulate 1,000-fold more ingredients.

For topical applications, FMLT MultiSpheres are more effective because they increase the surface area in contact with tissues.

APPLICATION

MultiSphere, due to their hydrophilic coating, are totally compatible with creams, lotions and gels. Therefore, these liposomes can be easily incorporated into the following cosmetic formulation
