Functional cosmetics development and management in Korea

We are offering various functional cosmetics for you plan to introduce new functional cosmetics in Korean market.

Korea implemented the new Cosmetic Law in July 2000, including detailed regulations on functional cosmetics which call for domestic and foreign manufacturers to summit to the regulator information about the cosmetics' ingredients and testing methods.

The regulation on functional cosmetics requires all cosmetics companies, both foreign and domestic,to submit to the regulator information on ingredients and testing methods of functional cosmetics before selling the products.

Functional cosmetics in korea refers to cosmetics that have a specific function such as skin whitening, diminishing wrinkles in the skin or protecting skins from ultraviolet rays.

KFDA is ready to review this recommendation if submitted evidences scientifically and reasonably prove that though their specification or ingredient proportion are different, cosmetics from the same line with already screened products are identical in safety and efficacy with the products.
