Review on In-cosmetics 2018 in Amsterdam

BioSpectrum, Inc. (CEO Dr. Deokhoon Park) attended in-cosmetics global held in Amsterdam, Netherlands from April 17 to 19, 2018. At the exhibition, BioSpectrum operated a joint booth with the strategic partner Clariant and had many meetings with the distributors and the customers.

In this year's in-cosmetics global, BioSpectrum and Clariant mainly promoted a new ingredient inspired by the Nobel Prize, B-Circadin. B-Circadin, extracted from bush clover plant, contains carlinoside and isoshaftoside, two key glycosylated flavonoids for maintaining circadian clock and enhancing the detoxification activities.

The 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or medicine was awarded to Jeffrey Hall, Michael Rosbash, and Michael Young for their dedication on circadian clock research. In general, the physiological behavior and metabolism are regulated by 24-hour circadian clock. When the circadian rhythm is desynchronized by the stressors including shiftwork, jet lag, and blue light, the various biological activities including cell detoxification, Aquaporin activity, and even skin condition are also disrupted.

With two double-blind clinical tests, in vitro tests, and skin ex vivo tests, the efficacy of B-Circadin for circadian rhythm resynchronization, cell detoxification, enhancing Aquaporin activity, and improvement of the signs of skin fatigue was confirmed.

Alexandre Lapeyre, global technical marketing manager of Clariant, gave a seminar on B-Circadin with the title of ‘The first Nobel Prize inspired active ingredient’ in the technical seminar session. The seminar was highly successful that the seats were full, and there are many audience had to stand behind to listen. After the seminar, a number of customers visited the booth with great interest on B-Circadin.

Through this exhibition, BioSpectrum once again confirmed the market's high interest in its excellent active ingredients and had a chance to strengthen the relations with Clariant.
